Jaguar XE to Enter India on Auto Expo 2016

Hot on the heels, Jaguar XE is all set to launch in Indian car place on 3rd February 2016. The company has announced for advanced booking of this new entry level sedan at all dealerships of the brand across the country. The new model will be available with two petrol engine options at present while the diesel engine would come in later this year.

Talking about the mechanical sync, both the engine will get same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo charged motor, mated to an 8-speed gearbox but generating different power.  The first engine is less commanding churning out 200 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, while the other one is good for 240 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque.

To make it more striking in India, Jaguar XE loaded with features such as soft grain windsor leather seats, torque vectoring by braking, all surface progress control, interior mood lighting, advanced infotainment with a navigation system, 380 watts meridianTM, surround camera and a panoramic sunroof. The further details would be clear at upcoming Auto Expo 2016.

With information available, the pre-booking can be confirmed with INR 1 Lack which is not a booking amount but an entry fee that you should pay at the dealership first. It will be sold via same CKD route in India and would be assembled at the company’s Pune Plant. The price could be tagged slight less from the Jaguar’s another sedan cars and engage to make competition with Mercedes-Benz C-class, BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4.
