As the bike market in India is getting much attention from the new manufacturers, the already available brands are too making all efforts to stay alive in the hunt. This market situation has forced Yamaha India to expand its portfolio and that would be done by adding a new 1255cc bike called as Yamaha Saluto just like Suzuki Gixxer SF. The reports are suggesting that it might launch in April with a budgetary tag of between INR 55,000 – 62,000 and would sit between SS125 and SZ bike segment.
Its 124.7cc engine would be producing 11 PS power and 10.5 Nm torque with a 5-speed gearbox as well. Although the Yamaha Bike range in India that includes products like Fazor, FZ, YZF-R15, YBR110, Crux and others along with scooters like Ray Z and Alpha is doing well India, but the market seeks more if one wishes to thrive in today’s cut-throat competition and hence Yamaha Saluto is on the cards.
Talking more about the technology changes, Yamaha scooters now come with the promise of delivering 66 km/l mileage, which company is claiming on the behalf of its Blue Core technology that has been developed to improve combustion and cooling efficiency and hence generating more power with mileage.
Yamaha also has plans to launch a new 125cc scooter R3 by the end of this year. Mentioning the scooter fleet, the company offers choices among Alpha Range, Ray Z and Ray scooters in India. The price is also not too high for this urban ride as Ray Z Cyan and Ray are priced at INR 48,936 and 47,805 respectively while Alpha Gleaming Gold costs INR 49,939 Ex-Showroom.
Coming back to the bike again, Yamaha Saluto launch in India has however not been confirmed by the company in April, but the rumors may come true as competition is increasing every day in the market and the companies would like to cash the opportunities as earliest as possible.
